The possibility that the Dearborn Historical Museum will be self-sufficient one day just took a huge leap forward. The Museum Guild of Dearborn Endowment has been established and is now accepting donations. The seed money of $50,000 came from funds that were transferred to the Guild from the now defunct Dearborn Historical Foundation. The fund has already had its first donation, $2,000 from the General Henry Dearborn Quilting Society. The Endowment’s ultimate goal is to make the Museum financially self-sufficient. This move was critical now that the entire operating budget of the Museum has been eliminated.
Now, we need donations in all forms. Gifts can be made in cash, checks, bonds and other assets, and by will.If you would like to make a donation to the Endowment online, please click on the link below or on the Museum Guild of Dearborn Endowment menu item to the left. All donations are tax-deductable. Thank you for supporting local history.
